This oil is food grade certified, but external use is recommended. Milk thistle can cause allergic reactions in some people, especially those who are allergic to ragweed, marigolds, daisies and chrysanthemums. Avoid in cases of known allergy. 

Milk Thistle is a stout annual or biennial plant with purple, thistle-like flower heads in summer, followed by black seeds with tufts of white hair. The oil is extracted from the ripe seeds. It contains essential fatty acids, sterols, anti-oxidants and Vitamin E and is useful for cosmetics.
